World Mental Health Day 2022 on Joy 94.9
This is a throwback episode to when I was on Joy 94.9 for World Mental Health day in 2022.
In this episode of The Mental Health Coach podcast, we explored the crucial issue of accessing mental health support.
Here are three key takeaways from the episode:
- Despite some challenges in the mental health system, seeking out assistance for mental health concerns is still crucial. There are ways to access support that can be effective in the face of obstacles.
- Early intervention is key. If you notice changes in behaviour in a friend or loved one that might be signs of mental health trouble, initiating a respectful conversation can have a tremendously positive impact on that person's well-being.
- Simple things like focusing on physical health, eating well, and getting good sleep can help individuals support their own mental health. Taking actionable steps like these can help to balance mental health scales impacted by stressors such as waitlists and other challenges.
